AUDIO: How to deal with 'a massive fricking spider'

… Call emergency services, the police and anyone else you can think of.

"I'm home alone and there is a giant spider on the back of my couch," says a panicked voice after dialing 911.

"What is on the back of your couch?" the operator responds (not sure if he heard correctly what she just said).

A SPIDER!

"I'm panicked… I have no idea what to do… I don't know what to do …I can't get hold of my parents so I don't know if you guys have anything I can do or if I just sit here and stare at it and just wait for someone to come home and kill it".

After a minute or so of telling the operator how helpless she is the girl compares the size of the spider to that of a baseball or tarantula.

Not sure how to process this the operator asks, "You just want someone to come out there and kill it?"

Realising her request sounds a little 'ridiculous' she reiterates how 'massive' the spider is.

After determining that it is not a pet the operator agrees to send an officer out using the following logic:

"You don't feel safe disposing of it yourself correct?"

"OH NO it's probably as big as my hand!"

To be fair her mother was recently bitten by something unknown in the house and had to go to hospital.

After weighing up the evidence and much consideration we here at BreakingNews can't say we blame her.*

Would you agree that the actions of this distressed girl are justified?
