You won't believe how Fox news covered the Martin Luther King anniversary

As you might know, yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech at the March on Washington, where up to 300,000 people marched on America's capital to demand equal rights.

Fox News had an … interesting way of covering it.

In a segment on last night's news, the channel decided to use the anniversary of the march as a hook for discussing … the fact that some people don't like rap or hip-hop music.

Because when you're discussing civil rights of black people in the United States, that can be summed up in whether or not people like rap and hip-hop.

The segment was based on a Wall Street Journal opinion piece on rap music which, the author claimed, "confuses and depresses race relations in America now."

The question, of course, is what that has to do with the March on Washington. I mean, what do Eminem, Sage Francis and Slug have to do with Martin Luther King?
