Electric Picnic Main Stage times revealed

Organisers have revealed the Main Stage times for this weekend's Electric Picnic festival.

Friday is certain to be heaving, with the Electric Arena being the only major stage to open on the day, for a single set from Giorgio Moroder.

Saturday sees something of a surprise, with Bjork third on the bill, perhaps favouring the atmosphere provided by the evening sunset.

The Dublin Gospel Choir are present and correct in their by-now traditional Sunday afternoon slot, and as expected, Arctic Monkeys will close out the festival.

Tickets for the music and arts festival in Stradbally, Co Laois sold out recently, and the promoters of the event say that no further tickets will be going on sale.

Melvin Benn, from promoters EP Republic, is warning that counterfeit tickets will be detected.

"Every ticket that comes in is electronically scanned and so we are very certain with the barcoding system that no forgeries will come in," he said.

"I would warn people against buying anything that they may have doubts about, because they will be refused entry."
