350lb marlin comes *this* close to skewering fisherman
An angler aboard the Marlin Darlin', fishing out of St. Thomas in the Dominican Republic, hooks into a 350lb blue marlin last Thursday morning.
If you're not familiar with the blue marlin, it's one of those really big and really fast fish, with a long, pointy and pretty mean-looking sword on the business end.
It's the kind of fish you don't want to leap the gunwhales and comes straight for you at a rate of knots.
Which is what happens.
That. Was. Close.
