'Essentials' for the Peru pair include croissants, baby oil, Nutella, waxing strips and Oreos.

A list of 'essentials' compiled by Michaella McCollum Connolly and Melissa Reid has emerged.

It has been reported by the Daily Mail that the women gave Melissa's father a list of items they wanted while awaiting their trial.

Some of the arguably more practical items include toilet roll, envelopes and stamps, a Spanish learning book and something to wash their clothes.

Given their situation some items appear to be a little more extravagant and non-essential. These include baby oil, Oreos, crisps, nutella, and hair removal products.
