Oxegen festival goers urged to use public transport

Festival goers attending this year's Oxegen music festival in Co Kildare are being urged to use public transport to get to the site.

Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Rita Ora will be among some of the headline acts to take centre stage during the three-day festival.

Superintendent Neil Lackey, from Naas Garda Station, has this advise for patrons.

"We are looking forward to a good weekend, we would ask all the people coming to this event to use public transport," he said.

"We do have car parks, we have ample parking but by and large if they would use public transport it would make our job an awful lot easier."
