Watch a basking shark chase down Donegal kayaker

If you're in any way afraid of sharks, you'll LOVE this.

Jaysus. This is a bit scary.

Kayaker G Smith was going for a trip last week when he found himself getting chased by a large shark - who just wouldn't give up.

There's some mild bad language while the man in the boat gets scared.

Now, it turns out the shark was trying to swim with the kayak, the way dolphins sometimes do - but it took Smith a few minutes to figure that out. To start with, it looks like he's stalking the boat like prey.

"I only realised what he was at on his third attempt, he was so close and seemed to like being beside the kayak," he wrote in the video description.

"At no stage was I chasing them they where coming to me as you can see."

Would scare the pants off most people.
