One is not amused: Pippa Middleton's lawyers clamp down on parody account
Pippa Middleton - sister of Kate, and show-stopper at Britain's royal wedding - is none too happy with being the butt of jokes.
She's sent the lawyers after @PippaTips on Twitter, a parody account that takes gentle swings at the royal relative's position as an expert party-planner - and they've just written a book title "What To Expect When One is Expecting: A Posh Person’s Guide To Pregnancy And Parenting."
The book, from the Twitter account's two authors - Mat Morrisroe and Suzanne Azzopardi - is conveniently timed for Pippa becoming an aunt.
Now, several media outlets, including The Independent, report that Middleton's lawyers are demanding the @PippaTips account be deleted.
The account went silent in mid-June, and there hasn't been a peep from it since.
If, like us, you hadn't actually heard from Pippa since she made headlines in 2011 for her bridesmaid's dress, it turns out she wrote a book called "Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends".
It didn't get great reviews.
Apparently, the tips contained therein weren't exactly trade secrets, including things like having a barbecue in good weather, and "store cupboards, drawers or boxes should be packed full of useful odds and ends."
So, naturally, a Twitter account of the same nature was born. Enter @PippaTips.
All fun and games, surely?
