Comedienne's video puts racists in their place

A spoof video by comedienne Tara Flynn about Ireland’s "foremost racist B&B" has now attracted almost 100,000 views on YouTube.

After a racist incident against her husband, who also features in the video, Flynn used her anger to produce something positive in the form of this hilarious video.

“I was mortified. Stunned. Fuming,” she says. “So I wrote a sketch about it. A sketch about how racism is lurking in even the most welcoming of places.”

Good on her, we say.

Flynn plays “Máire Uí Bannantee” from “down the country”, who follows her dream to open a racist B&B for Irish racists “who aren’t afraid to stand up and be counted”.

UPDATE: Tara Flynn says that the reaction to the video "has been an eye-opener" and that casual racism "is a lot worse than I’d naively thought".
