Missing in Kilkenny: One foulmouthed parrot

If anyone in the vicinity of Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny should hear a string of swearwords emanating from their foliage - fear not, it might just be Stifler.

A young African grey parrot, he's been missing from owner Christina Wynne's home since yesterday and she's keen to see his safe return.

"He's a pure family pet," says Christina of the two-and-a-half year old bird, who is much loved by her three young children.

The family are very concerned about Stifler, who hasn't been seen since he was chased from the locality.

"He got out of his cage and flew over to a tree across from the house," Christina explains.

"Then a load of crows ganged up on him and chased him off."

Christina said Stifler should be easy to find - he's a noisy customer, whistling, talking and even cursing.

"He's loads of words and would be calling us all by our names," she said, declining to elaborate on his vocabulary of swearwords.

"We just want to have him safe back."

Anyone who spots Stifler can contact Christina on 085 2123976
