Or not, as producer Damon Lindelof found out after some of them complained about a scene involving Dr. Carol Marcus (played by Alice Eve) in ‘Star Trek: Into the Darkness’.

The former 'Lost' guru admitted the illogical scene, a snippet of which was also in the official trailer (1.36), wasn't completely integral to the plot.

In fairness to Lindelof, he held his hands up via Twitter this morning, but not before making another feminism faux pas in the process.
