Michelle Collins sometimes wants to "shake" her 'Coronation Street' alter ego.
The 50-year-old actress is perplexed by some of the decisions made by Stella Price, and thinks the Rovers Return landlady will be "devastated" when she learns her fiance Karl Munro (John Michie) was actually behind the arson attack on the pub.
She said: "Stella is going to be absolutely devastated when she finds out the truth.
"How would you feel if suddenly you find out what Karl has done and the love of your life is a killer?
"Sometimes I want to shake her. She has no idea.
"She loves Karl and I don't think she could ever, ever believe he could do something like that to anyone.
"They have been through a lot together, she's had a near-death experience and he saved her and this is it now. They are together, she's not looking back and it's all about the future."
Michelle can't wait for her on-screen wedding and hopes her character dons an elaborate gown like those seen in Channel 4 show 'Big Fat Gypsy Weddings'.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'd want Stella to have a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding with the dress. It's really weird because I've never been married but I've been married so many times on screen.
"What does that say about me? But I do love a wedding -- and especially my own.
"Stella's not been married before either so I think she will go for it big time.
"This is her first marriage and they've been together for a long time. I'm hoping she'll go for it."
