Kangaroo strikes back for disaffected voters in Oz
An Aussie politician came off second best against a disgruntled kangaroo yesterday.
As he pounded the pavement during his morning jog in the capital, Canberra, Shane Rattenbury saw it grazing on a front lawn.
Spotting its chance, the roo knocked him to the ground, drawing blood with two scratches to one of the politician's legs.
With typical Aussie humour, Rattenbury said: “I can assure people that the kangaroo is fine.
“It was last seen hopping off into the distance quite comfortably.”
