Lohan avoids arrest after checking into rehab

Lindsay Lohan has checked in to a rehab facility, a US prosecutor says.

Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White declined to disclose the actress’s location.

But a source close to her says she has checked in to the Betty Ford Centre to meet her court-ordered rehab obligations.

Lohan has also has re-hired her long-time lawyer, Shawn Holley, to handle her court case.

Mr White says he has been in contact with Holley about Lohan’s case.

Lohan is required to spend 90 days in rehab as part of a plea deal in a misdemeanour case filed after a June car accident.
