Organisers of the Electric Picnic music and arts festival have tonight announced more acts for this year's event.

Added to the bill are names including My Bloody Valentine, The Knife, Black Uhuru & Wu-Tang Clan, Hudson Mohawke, Mount Kimbie, Blondes, Palma Violets, Mano Le Tough, MS MR, Peace, Merchandise, The 1975, Luke Sital-Singh and Dublin Gospel Choir.

The evening's announcement follows the first tranche of acts named at lunchtime, with Bjork, Fatboy Slim, Arctic Monkeys, David Byrne, Franz Ferdinand and Ocean Colour Scene among the big names heading for Stradbally.

The festival takes place from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, April 27, with discounted tickets available for fans who have attended previous festivals “in recognition of the fantastic support and the wonderful times that EP and its followers have had together”.
