Bjork, Arctic Monkeys and Fatboy Slim and confirmed for Electric Picnic
The first acts confirmed for Electric Picnic have been announced this afternoon.
Bjork, Fatboy Slim, Arctic Monkeys, David Byrne, Franz Ferdinand and Ocean Colour Scene are all set to play the arts and music festival takes place in Stradbally, Co Laois,
Baauer, Chvrches, Clinic, Deap Vally, Disclosure, Eels, Hurts, Jeffrey Lewis, Johnny Marr, Mick Flannery, Noah and The Whale, Olaf Tyransen, Parquet Courts, Policia, Savages, SOAK, St. Vincent, Tiga, The Strypes, The Walkmen and Warpaint are also confirmed.

Tickets for the festival, which takes place from August 30 to September 1, will go on sale on Saturday, April 27.
The discounted tickets will be given to fans who have attended previous festivals “in recognition of the fantastic support and the wonderful times that EP and its followers have had together”.
Between April 27 and May 27, weekend tickets will cost €149.50 “if you can prove you’ve been to three or more Picnics”, €169.50 if you’ve been to the Picnic once before, or €189.50 for a full-price ticket.
Tickets will cost €229.50 after July 28. Sunday day tickets will cost €85.
Electric Picnic organisers have already emailed many customers with discount codes, but those who want to avail of the full discount may yet be eligible.
