Vorderman returns to work after breaking nose

Carol Vorderman returned to 'Loose Women' today after breaking her nose last month.

The 52-year-old presenter - who fell down a flight of stairs while wearing killer heels and smacked into a wall – returned with a healed snout and was presented with a pair of sensible flat shoes by fellow daytime talk show panellists Linda Robson, Janet Street-Porter and Jane McDonald to welcome her back.

Speaking to Carol on the ITV programme, Jane said: "We're thrilled to bits that you're back and we've just all clubbed together and bought you a little pressie just to say, 'Welcome back Carol Vorderman'. It will come in very, very helpful for you."

Janet said: "Only someone with a lot of air in their head wears very very high heels and runs down the stairs."

Despite the nasty incident, the 'Food Glorious Food' presenter insists she won't be ditching the heels any time soon.

She explained: "I always wear my heels, you know what I'm like."

The unfortunate incident sparked speculation Carol had in fact gone under the knife to have a nose job, but she slammed "Twitter idiots" for making up the rumours.

She said: "There I am lying in bed feeling sorry for myself when all these Twitter idiots start going, 'Oh she's had a nose job.' Yeah obviously, you book yourself into A&E ... I'll tell you what I want, I want a new nose that looks exactly the same as the one I already had."
