Bieber wrote what now?

Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam over the weekend. His comments in the guest book have raised some eyebrows.

According to a post on the museum's official Facebook page, the Canadian singing star wrote the following:

"Yesterday night Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House, together with his friends and guards.

"Fans were waiting outside to see a glimpse of him. He stayed more than an hour in the museum.

" In our guestbook he wrote: "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."

To recap: Anne Frank is a Jewish girl who died aged 15 in a Nazi concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen. Her diaries, written while she was in hiding in Amsterdam and published after her death, are one of the enduring literary legacies of the Second World War.

Justin Bieber is a 19-year-old Canadian pop singer whose pet monkey was quarantined in Germany recently.
