Bublé will be a strict Dad

Michael Bublé predicts he will be an authoritative parent reasoning that his parents being "soft" made him a "harder" person.

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer is expecting his first child with wife Luisana Lopilato in the late Summer.

"I didn't have a strict upbringing and I wish I did sometimes. I think my mum and dad loved me too much," he said.

"I wasn't spoilt, but my father's mother and father were quite tough and my father grew up to be a very compassionate, soft-spoken gentleman," he explained in a magazine interview.

"My parents were very soft and loving with me and I turned out to be a little bit harder. I wish I was more like my father, but I'm not."

The 37-year-old singer admits that he can have a bad temper and often got into fights as a child.

"I have moments where I think, 'God, my father is the sweetest, most gentle soul and I'm really not.' I'm a kind person, they've taught me unconditional love and empathy, but I have a very strong temper that early on in my life led to bouts of violence."
