Would you go into a shop that wanted to charge you a 'just looking' fee?

That's what one retailer in Brisbane, Australia has done in an effort to put off customers who come in to check out goods - and then go elsewhere to buy them.

The picture first popped up on Reddit and subsequent reports have identified the shop as a specialist grocery store for coeliacs, stocking gluten-free produce.

Shop owner 'Georgina' told the Australian Associated Press that she she resorted to putting up the sign after spending hours each week "giving advice to people who leave empty-handed".

She said people would go into the store, ask questions and then buy the same or similar product elsewhere.

"I've had a gut full of working and not getting paid,'' Georgina said.
