PUNCH DRUNK: Meet the world's angriest goalkeeper

Saturday was a bad day in the office for Wolves 'keeper Carl Ikeme, who let in an absolute howler and then managed to break his own hand. At half time. In the dressing room.

First, that shocker - which left Wolves 1-0 down to Bristol City at half time (they eventually came back to win 2-1 with Kevin Doyle scoring the winner).

Ikeme didn’t surface for the second half of the game, with most presuming he had been benched over his mistake.

It turned out, however, that the stopper injured himself in a fit of rage during the half-time interval.

His manager Dean Saunders was forced to recall the shambolic events to the Daily Mail today: “Because he made a mistake, he punched the tactics board out of frustration. It’s only cardboard but there’s a metal bar behind it and it damaged his hand where he caught it. It’s created a problem for us because he isn’t going to be available”.
