Is this 'tashe-tastic baby a world record holder?

Here's why this "hairy baby" didn't look out of place in Grand Rapids, Michigan yesterday.

The moustachioed tot was among hundreds who gathered in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people wearing false moustaches as part of LaughFest 2013.

According to ABC affiliate WZZM13, 1,544 people wore fake moustaches, more than double the previous record of 648 set in St. Louis last year.

The record has yet to be officially certified by Guinness. Do they go around pulling on them to make sure they're fake?
