Daft Punk - they're back

Iconic French electro duo Daft Punk sent fans into a frenzy today with an online 'announcement' - basically, they're back.

The 'announcement', such as it was, consisted of the band changing their Facebook cover photo and updating their page with a link to their website.

The Columbia logo on the artwork was taken by those in the know as confirmation that the secretive duo - Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo - have allied with Columbia Records, with Pitchfork reporting that an album will follow this year.

We'd love to tell you more, but their website crashed pretty much immediately after they updated their Facebook page.
