Couple left red-faced as personal mail goes viral
If you have, then spare a thought for Integrated Subsea Services (ISS) employee, Melanie Anderson, from Aberdeen, Scotland, who mistakenly sent a series of racy emails meant for her fiancée Eric Knisz, to work colleagues.
Ms Andersen, a receptionist at the company, had intended to let her colleagues know that the sandwich van was outside.
It hasn’t taken long for #sandwichvan to go viral on Twitter, with the emails spreading rapidly outside the ISS office and beyond.
The mails include lines such as: “I loved our session last night… it was ace!” and “You are sexy as anything and I love it!”
Bruce Webster, HR director of ISS told Deadline News: “Personal emails are not encouraged at work and we have taken the appropriate action with the members of staff concerned.
“They are absolutely mortified by the content of the email trail which was meant to be private and apologise for any offence caused by it going outwith our organisation.”
Meanwhile, BBC journalist Kevin Keane has reported that the couple have both quit their jobs at ISS.
