Keep up, Dermot! O'Leary takes a tumble on stage at NTA awards

Wednesday night was certainly not Irish presenter Dermot O’Leary’s night.

Keep up, Dermot! O'Leary takes a tumble on stage at NTA awards

Not only did he miss out on the Best Presenter Award, but he also took an embarrassing nose dive while attempting to keep up with professional dancer Darcey Bussell at the National Television Awards.

O’Leary’s opening dance routines on the X Factor were infamously cheesy, but he took it to a whole new level when he hit the floor in front of thousands of viewers.

The presenter was clearly overwhelmed after successfully completing a gracious lift and spin, and was soon seen stumbling and dropping one knee to the floor with only seconds of the performance to go.

The 38 year old recovered quickly with the help of his dance partner, 43 year old Strictly Come Dancing judge Bussell.

Leave it to the professionals Dermot!

Fellow Xtra Factor host Olly Murs was delighted to see that he was no longer the only member of the X Factor crew to take a wobble on stage.

Murs suffered endless slagging from co-host Caroline Flack on the X Factor spin-off show last year after falling down a set of stairs while on tour.

Dermot’s not so fancy footwork didn’t go unnoticed by Twitter either with plenty of viewers tweeting about the embarrassing stumble.
