Twilight pair opt out of convention appearances

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have apparently avoided a public encounter by opting out of some upcoming Twilight conventions.

Fans had been hoping to see the stars at the four conventions for the vampire movies, to be held in the US over the next few months, but website Zap2it.com reports that they have decided not to attend.

It is not known whether the stars opted out following the actress’s affair scandal, which saw her admit to cheating on boyfriend Rob with her married 'Snow White And The Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders.

Their co-star Taylor Lautner is also unable to attend.
