Richie: 'Best hairstylist on the planet'

Nicole Richie claims she's the "best hairstylist on the planet".

The reality TV star-turned-fashion designer - who is famed for her individual style - is always experimenting with her locks and insists she's become an expert in hair styling.

She said: "I have naturally curly hair, so 'natural' beach waves are not so natural for me. I like to braid my hair at night and then let it out the next day. And I also curl my hair with straighteners. I actually think I'm the best hair stylist on the planet.

"I'm very serious. I'm mixed, and it's work to do my hair, so I learned how to do it well myself. I would be a hairstylist. I actually like to go to the salon and blow-dry people's hair."

Nicole - who has two children, Harlow, four, and two-year-old Sparrow with husband Joel Madden - also revealed how she doesn't think of herself as a trendsetter, despite being called one.

She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "My world is small. I have my circle of 10 friends, my kids, my family. None of them call me a trendsetter."
