Baby joy for former 'Eastenders' star

Former 'EastEnders' star Tamzin Outhwaite has given birth to a baby girl.

Her husband, actor Tom Ellis, told fans on Twitter: “What a couple of days…Gold medals from everywhere and…oh, we had a beautiful baby girl called Marnie Mae Ellis, 6lb 5oz of gorgeousness!”

The couple, who married in June 2006, had a daughter in 2008.

Outhwaite, 41, who played Mel Owen in the soap, has also appeared in Red Cap and Hotel Babylon since leaving Walford.

Ellis, who also appeared in 'EastEnders', has more recently been seen in 'Miranda' and 'Doctor Who'.
