'Devastated' Pattinson planning to duck premiere - report

Robert Pattinson is reportedly thinking about not attending a scheduled upcoming press appearance in the United States for his new film 'Cosmopolis'.

He is reported to be hiding out in Reese Witherspoon's holiday home in California.

The actor has apparently decided he's not ready to face the press in the wake of girlfriend Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal.

According to television show 'Entertainment Tonight', the 26-year-old's film is set to premiere soon in New York City but it is unknown whether he will be in attendance.

However, a representative for the actor has since told website Gossip Cop: "No confirmed engagements have been cancelled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."

The actor's 'Twilight Saga' co-star and longtime partner was caught cheating with her 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sander earlier this month.

The 22-year-old actress and 41-year-old Rupert, who has two young children with British Vogue model Liberty Ross, were spotted canoodling in Los Angeles, California.

Robert has been hiding out since the news broke last week and sources close to the actor said he is "really depressed."

They told Us Magazine: "Rob is beyond devastated," a source explained. "He's so heartbroken. He's shocked she could hurt him and humiliate him this way."

His 'Water for Elephants' co-star Witherspoon was more than happy to give up her $7m ranch in Ojai for him, according to US Weekly magazine.

Speaking about the home previously, Reese said it is a great place to relax.

She said: "It's meditative and restorative. As soon as I drive through the gate, I relax. The air is fresh, the phone isn't ringing, you can't access email. Time slows down. Within an hour I'm lying on that couch taking a big fat nap. It's like having a little bit of Tennessee in California."

Robert - who was believed to be in London, England over the weekend - is said to have felt like his heart has been "ripped out" by the affair between Kristen and the 'Snow White and the Huntsman' filmmaker and he is not taking it well.

A source said: "The entire thing has been such a blow to Rob. Talk about having his heart ripped out. Rob just isn't going to be able to get past the cheating - one time or not."
