McLynn goes on to knit cosies

Actress Pauline McLynn, who played housekeeper Mrs Doyle on 'Father Ted', has begun designing, knitting and selling tea cosies.

Dubbed 'The Go Ons', they are available to buy through McLynn's website and will set you back between €50 and €90.

They take their name from Mrs Doyle's well-known catchphrase.

Even though some may say €90 is a bit steep for a tea cosie, the 'Shameless' star says you get what you pay for.

"No two are the same and can never be repeated…The reason you're paying (up to €90) for them is that I literally have to knit them," she said.
