British rocker Pete Doherty has been asked to leave an upmarket drug rehab centre in Thailand, with the centre saying his lack of commitment jeopardised the treatment of other patients.

Ben Moller, marketing director of the Cabin, said today that Doherty made progress during his three weeks at the US$12,000-a-month (€9,778) recovery resort and that his departure was amicable.
