Gary Oldman has revealed how he feared for his career after losing his script for the latest Batman movie.

The 54-year-old actor, who plays Commissioner George in 'The Dark Knight Rises', mislaid the top secret script in a hotel and was terrified that it would be leaked.

Gary told US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: “I was in a panic for 20 minutes. I thought my career had ended.”

Luckily the Batman script was eventually found under his bed, but Gary explained how the huge presence of online media aided his terror: “There was a paranoia around it as we live in an age with the internet and blogs…

“I’d be thrown out of showbiz.”
