Kemp: EastEnders filming like Afghanistan
Ross Kemp has compared filming 'EastEnders' to working in war-torn Afghanistan.
Letitia Dean – who plays his character Grant Mitchell's former wife Sharon Rickman – is returning to the show for a third time.
Kemp said he was delighted she was coming back, but said his own comeback was unlikely.
He said people should not underestimate how difficult working on the BBC One soap is.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I've always liked Letitia, she's a lovely girl. You know, don't underestimate how hard the people work in 'EastEnders' and I say this as someone who has done nearly a year in Afghanistan."
Although he hasn't completely ruled out a return, Ross is unlikely to make a comeback as the Albert Square hardman.
When asked about a possible return, he said: "Well I doubt it but never say never."
'Sharongate' – the October 1994 storyline which saw the taped confession of Sharon that she had slept with her brother-in-law Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) heard by husband Grant, who then played it out in the Queen Vic pub - was recently named the greatest soap moment of the last 20 years.
It beat rival soap Coronation Street's spectacular live tram crash in December 2010 into second place in the list compiled by Inside Soap magazine.
