Poor ticket sales for 'The Voice ' tour

The Voice' UK tour has failed to sell out a single venue.

The BBC talent show's eight finalists - winner Leanne Mitchell and runners up Bo Bruce, Vince Kidd, Becky Hill, Max Milner, Jaz Ellington, Tyler James and Ruth Brown - are due to perform live around the country but there are now fears some of the concerts could be cancelled as sales for the £40 (€50) tickets have been slow.

A source said: "Do they really think that they can sell 160,000 tickets at £40 a pop when they couldn't even keep people watching on the telly for free?

"Everyone is anticipating huge problems with this."

Though 'The Voice' had a strong start on TV with over 11 million viewers, they had dropped to less than five million by the semi-final stage and insiders think the tour could be a disaster as even rival show 'Britain's Got Talent' - which posts higher ratings - had to cancel last year's tour because of poor ticket sales.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "'Britain's Got Talent' had to admit defeat and pull the plug on the live tour in 2011 because the tickets hadn't sold - and their ratings were higher and more consistent than The Voice's."

This year, 'Britain's Got Talent' did not have an accompanying tour.
