Mel B was booed during her first day as a guest 'X Factor' judge.
The former Spice Girls singer joined the panel of Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos in Manchester yesterday but some of her comments did not go down well with members of the audience.
During the audition by 81-year-old widower Lou, Mel was not impressed and told him: "I wanted to fall asleep."
The crowd soon let their feelings known and started to jeer her.
However, some fans were also impressed with her no-nonsense attitude and think it's great there's someone nasty on the panel following the departure of Simon Cowell.
One said: "Mel was great! It's true that she didn't hold back, but that's going to make great TV.
"Since Simon left, the panel has been missing someone who tells the truth."
Mel - who is a regular judge on the Australian version of the talent show - is the latest star to be a stand-in judge following in the footsteps of her former bandmate Geri Halliwell, Nicole Scherzinger, Leona Lewis and Rita Ora.
She will also take part in today's auditions.
