The Apprentice winner Ricky Martin has vowed the keep using his wrestling name even though he’s hanging up his leotard.

The 27-year-old recruitment manager, who won a £250,000 investment for a new niche-market recruitment company from Lord Sugar, said: “I’ve now retired from the wrestling ring. I’m hanging up my boots and my Lycra and that’s it now for me.”

But Martin – who used Ricky after the Latino pop star in the ring rather than his real first name Richard – added: “From now on I’m still going to call myself Ricky, because that’s how I’ve always presented myself in business.

"Be it people love it or like the name, they know the name and they’ll get to know me.”
