Bono: I'm not world's richest music star
Bono is denying that he is become the richest musician in the world after a savvy investment in Facebook.
The U2 frontman's company Elevation Partners owns 2.3% of the social network's shares, which were issued on the stock market for the first time on Friday.
Elevation invested $90m (€70.4m) in Facebook shares in 2009.
Bono told ABC in the US that it is not just his money, so he will not reap all of the rewards.
"In Elevation, we invest other people's money, endowments, pension funds," he said.
"We do get paid, and that is a good thing, I'm blessed.
"But, you know, I felt rich when I was 20 years old and my wife was paying my bills, just being in a band. I've always felt like this."
