Alex denies reports that wedding to Chantelle is off

Alex Reid has denied reports that he has called off his wedding to Chantelle Houghton.

The 36-year-old cage fighter – who was previously married to Katie Price – was reported to have cancelled his upcoming nuptials to pregnant Chantelle because he is concerned about how much her friends have been interfering with their life together.

A source told The Sun: “Alex told a pal, ‘I’ve told Chantelle I’m not marrying her when things are like this.

“Friends keep pushing her to say things about us that aren’t true and keep poking their noses into our lives no matter how much it hurts me.’ ”

However, Alex has indicated on Twitter the pair are still together.

In response to a fan tweet, he said: “who evers the source who said Ive called the wedding off,please step forward?Not very nice& how do u think Chantelle will feel?(sic)”

The development comes just a day after his ex Katie Price announced she was engaged to marry for the third time to Argentinean hunk Leandro Penna.

Katie and Leandro are now believed to have gone on a holiday to South Africa to celebrate their engagement, which comes just a year after they met at Elton John’s Oscar party in Los Angeles.
