Downton Abbey star McGovern: First series was more to my taste
Downton Abbey actress Elizabeth McGovern has admitted that she was not as enamoured with the second series of the ITV1 period drama.
The second run was set amid the first world war, with the stately home having been turned into a hospital.
The US-born actress has told the LA Times that the first season was more to her taste.
Fans and critics have complained about the complicated plot and the number of ad breaks.
