Ellis Bextor welcomes third child

Sophie Ellis Bextor has given birth to a baby boy.

The ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ singer welcomed her third son Ray Holiday Jones today and her husband Richard Jones has confirmed she has been doing well.

Writing on his band The Feeling’s twitter, he said: “It's a boy! Ray Holiday Jones was born today at 12:35 weighing 7Ib 15 Mother and baby doing great.We are truly smitten. Love to u all. Rx”

Sophie already has sons Sonny, seven and Kit, two.

In a question and answer session on her website she recently confirmed she was excited about the forthcoming baby and wanted to “get on with it” – even claiming she was sure she was going to have a boy.

She said: “I have moments where I feel like I don’t really know what to expect but I just want to get on with it now, really. We’re as ready for this baby as we’re ever going to be!

“I’m pretty sure it’s going to be another boy. We had quite a big visual clue at one of the scans!”
