Wahlberg tipped for new comedy
Mark Wahlberg is in talks to appear in 'Avon Man'.
The 'Fighter' actor is up for a role in the forthcoming comedy now that Hugh Jackman is no longer attached to appear because of an anticipated schedule clash with 'The Wolverine'.
'Avon Man' would see Mark portray one of a group of guys who loses their jobs at a car dealership and becoming a salesman for the at-home beauty retailer. He overcomes his initial embarrassment to use his charm and become a top seller, and gets his friends involved to help his struggling family by boosting sales to win a regional contest.
According to Deadline.com, Mark and partner Stephen Levinson will also produce the picture alongside Krasnoff Foster's Gary Foster and John Palermo.
Kevin Bisch originally wrote the script, but Michael McCullers is to pen a new draft.
The project is also looking for a director as Kevin Lima is no longer involved.
Mark recently wrapped 'Broken City' opposite Russell Crowe and can next be seen on screen in 'Ted'.
He is currently working on 'Pain and Gain' and will then move on to '2 Guns' and 'Lone Survivor'.
