Much of the cast of “American Pie” are in Dublin for the premiere of the newest movie “American Pie - The Reunion” at The Savoy tonight.

Seann William Scott, who plays Stifler, Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s mom) and Tara Reid, who plays Vicky, will all be in town.

Scott will be honoured at Trinity College today, where he will receive the Gold Medal of Honorary Patronage from the Dublin University Philosophical Society.

Hollywood stars Al Pacino and John C.Reilly have previously received the honour.

Eugene Levy, who plays Jim's Dad, will also attend.

He said that it is a flying visit, but they cannot wait for everyone to see the movie after all these years.

"Well I think it was 10 years since the last movie, it's longer since the entire cast was together in a movie," he said.

“American Pie - The Reunion” hits cinemas on May 2.
