Lady Gaga is getting her "ass is kicked" from gruelling workouts for her new tour.

The 'Edge of Glory' hitmaker has been preparing for her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour - which kicks off in Seoul, South Korea, on April 27 - and has been pushing herself in rehearsals.

She tweeted: "Hot yoga time, post rehearsal. Though my ass is kicked from dancing I may succumb to the heat and focus on conditioning. No pain, no fear."

Gaga, 25, recently tweeted that she misses her "Monsters" - the name she gives to her fans - and can't wait for the huge run of shows to start.

Gaga has previously revealed her plans and stage sets for the 'Born This Way Ball', which include decorating the stage as a gothic medieval castle, and having semi-circular a ramp which extends into the crowd and creates a 'Monster Pit' close to the stage.

She previously tweeted: "The new show is easily the most fun I've had on stage in ages + YOU'RE not even there yet! IM GONNA DIE OF EXCITEMENT. Throw ice if i do. (sic)"

Gaga has always enjoyed having elaborate stage sets and giving daring and extreme performances, even from her earliest days of performing.

Her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, said: "When Gaga started emerging, when she was in her bikini performing 'Lady Starlight' and decided that night to actually light hairspray on fire.

"And some people left when that happened - a lot of people stayed and thought it was cool. But her father and I were like, honestly, he said, 'I think she has a screw loose'."
