'Doctor Who' star lands 'Sex And The City' prequel role

'Doctor Who' star Freema Agyeman has landed a part in the 'Sex And The City' prequel.

The actress, who played the Doctor's companion Martha Jones, has been cast as a "hip, cutting-edge" journalist and party girl.

The series, being made by the people behind 'Gossip Girl', follows the life of Carrie Bradshaw as she first moves to New York.
