Fassbender set for POW role
Michael Fassbender could be playing a prisoner-of-war in crime drama 'The Outsider'.
The 'Shame' star is being eyed to take the leading role of an American former POW, who rises in the Yakuza in post-Second World War Japan, reported Deadline.
'Safe House' director Daniel Espinosa is said to be in talks to take control of the thriller.
The Irish actor – who currently stars in David Cronenberg's 'A Dangerous Method' and Steven Soderbergh's thriller Haywire – could be reuniting with Steve McQueen for 'Twelve Years A Slave', and has an upcoming big screen outing in Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'.
