Jessica Alba pulled out of the Academy Awards last night because she was sick with a cold.
The 'Little Fockers' actress was due to attend the ceremony at Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre but only hours before the ceremony she posted a message on twitter announcing she was too ill to go.
She wrote: "This cold sinus thing is awesome.
"bailed out of #oscar festivities 2nite due to this terrible illness ... matzah ball soup FB twitter n tv - we got a date! (sic)"
Jessica, 30, still watched the ceremony on TV and gave her opinions on the fashion choices of her fellow actresses.
She tweeted: "I love Melissa McCarthy so much! she looks gorgeous!
"Maya Rudolph looks regal! beautiful!
"Meryl Streep is everything... (sic)"
Jessica also revealed her husband Cash Warren - with whom she has two daughters, Honor, three, and swix-month-old Haven - was taking care of her.
She tweeted: "Hubs holding my hair while I Nettiepot - that's love."
Jessica had planned to wear a gold Valentino gown to the Vanity Fair Oscars party held after the ceremony in West Hollywood.
