Cowell creating American boy band

The music mogul Simon Cowell - who has his own record label Syco - is in the early stages of putting together a pop group to conquer the US market and has been in talks with a number of producers and songwriters to create the right sound.

A source told JustJared.com: "Simon is really excited to form a group of guys from America. He's done such a fine job with British boys, so he's ready to try his hand in America. He's looking for the right people to team up with and create their sound."
