Rubberbandits set for Channel 4 TV series

Irish duo The Rubberbandits could be set to star in their own TV show in the UK.

Broadcaster Channel 4 has ordered a pilot programme.

The show, to be shot in Limerick, will be produced by the Dublin-based company Sideline and directed by Declan Lowney.

He has previously worked on 'Father Ted' and 'Little Britain'.

"There's going to be a bit of music and there'll be a bit of comedy," said Blind Boy.

"It's very different from anything we've done before, because with 30 minutes we've to invent loads of new characters and things like that.

"We'll probably be makin' it around May, and then maybe on telly then sometime over the summer."
