O'Dowd: No developments on 'Bridesmaids' sequel
Chris O'Dowd doesn't feel like he would "miss out" if a 'Bridesmaids' sequel was not made.
The Roscommon actor plays the role of police officer Rhodes in the 2011 comedy movie starring Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph, and he does not feel it would be a bad thing if a follow-up wasn't scripted.
He said: "I haven’t to this day heard anything about it to be honest, and I don’t know, I think sometimes it’s better to just leave things alone.
"It’s hard to say that because I enjoyed working with them so much, but I’ve done another film with George and with Kristen and Jon Hamm and Maya Rudolph, so I feel like I wouldn’t been missing out terribly if we didn’t do another one."
The film is up for two Oscars as the Academy Awards later this month, and he admits he is "delighted" for all those who have been nominated.
He added: "I can’t tell you how delighted I am for Kristen and Annie Mumolo who wrote it, and Melissa, it’s fantastic."
