Carmen Electra set to guest on 'BGT'

Carmen Electra looks set to stand in for Amanda Holden on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

Show boss Simon Cowell - who sits on the panel of the ITV1 series alongside Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon - wants the former 'Baywatch' babe to judge the auditions for the next three days at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon took a fancy to Carmen and decided to fly her over. She looks great and is very opinionated, but there is a concern from some of the 'BGT' production crew that she will not be the most familiar face to all the viewers.

"But as usual, what Simon says, he usually gets."

It is believed Electra - who has previously been a guest judge on US talent show 'So You Think You Can Dance' - will stand in for Holden until she returns to the series for the Edinburgh auditions on Saturday.

However, the 40-year-old star - who spent three days in critical condition in hospital after giving birth to her daughter Hollie Rose via an emergency caesarean section late last month - is said to be keen to bring her newborn tot with her to the auditions.

A source recently said: "Amanda thinks people on the set will be delighted to have a baby there.

"She is absolutely besotted with Hollie, she is beautiful. Amanda is so contented and happy."
